Amanda has been painting and drawing all her life, since
she could hold a crayon in her hand. She graduated from
Hunter College with a Bachelor's Degree in Studio Art
minoring in Art History in 2006. She has been influenced
by many artists including Vincent Van Gogh, Manet,
Monet, Kandinsky, O'Keeffe, and many other masters.
Feeling the urge to enrich children's lives with the
beauty of art, she went on to teach at the Art League of
Long Island for 4 years. She has been in various
exhibitions/galleries showcasing her works on paper. She
is inspired by nature and the vibrant colors that morph
with each season. She allows the water to do most of the
work when she paints. Wherever the water wants to flow,
she lets it. Movement and sharp contrasts of light and
dark are her main objectives, ultimately creating the
illusion of merging fantasy with reality. The most
important ingredient is passion, and that is something
she breathes into her paintings every time she picks up
a brush.
